This Daikin FTKZ air conditioner has a moisture balance (hybrid cooling) feature. This mode will always keep the humidity in the room at 55% to 65%. You will feel very comfortable with this humidity level if the room is set at 26, 27, or 28 degrees Celsius.

According to the operating principle of the air conditioner, the air conditioner uses the humidity of the room to cool, so it will often make the room dry due to the loss of moisture. On the other hand, Daikin FTKZ balances moisture to ensure that the environment is always in ideal conditions.

Standard air filters

An FTKZ air conditioner will always act as an air purifier. However, they have added additional features for better air filtration in this Daikin FTKZ machine. I want to share two of them our Streamer Technology and Enzyme Blue Filter.

Streamer technology: Daikin's exclusive air purification technology

There is a streamer discharger (1000 times higher than the conventional plasma discharge method), which generates high-speed electrons. These electrons then contact and combine with nitrogen and oxygen in the air to create high-speed degrading molecules that effectively kill bacteria, viruses, molds, and break down allergens. Next, stick the filter with other substances in the air to optimally purify your air. These substances will be swept away by the drainpipe going out or stuck in the filters, and then every once in a while, you will take them out to wash them. This process takes place inside the cooler of the machine. When the air is sucked into the machine, it will go through this cleaning process, and when it goes out, the harmful components have been neutralized and either trapped or discharged through the discharge water.

Enzyme Blue Filter

This filter can remove more than 90% of unpleasant odors within an hour, especially with the household odor-causing factors related to ammonia, trimethylamine, hydrogen sulfide, and methyl mercaptan. You can see two Enzyme Blue filters mounted on the air conditioner filter. If air circulates through it, it will block the odor-causing elements, as I mentioned above. The Enzyme Blue filter also limits allergens such as pollen, dust particles, pet dander, and mold. This filter also helps limit allergens, reduces 99.9% of certain types of bacteria, and reduces the possibility of viral infections. This filter works by absorbing the protein portion of the allergen, making it protein-binding and harmless.

In addition, we also have other things to filter the air cleaner, such as a PM2.5 fine dust filter to filter dust particles as small as 2.5 micrometers. This filter is not built-in; it is an accessory. If you need it, buy more.

Another function that it can appreciate is the built-in anti-mold function with Streamer technology. When you activate the anti-mold function, when the air conditioner is turned off, the machine will continue to run the fan and streamer technology in parallel for 1 hour to help dry the inside of the indoor unit, reducing mold growth bacteria, viruses, and odors. As a result, the air is fresh, maintaining the performance and life of the indoor unit.

Air Flow Standard

The airflow standard is met thanks to Daikin applying two solutions related to the airflow from the air conditioner. Depending on the situation, you will adjust which features you like. In my opinion, you initially turned on the 3D airflow feature after the room was cold enough, then switched to Coanda.

Coanda air flow

This solution helps the cold air when leaving the indoor unit move along with the ceiling, avoiding the wind blowing directly on people and spreading to different areas in the room. Thus, the room's occupants will feel the natural cold air, not the feeling of being blown by the cold wind to cause discomfort, and the temperature will be uniform in the corners of the room. The Coanda solution is already applied in the aviation industry. Daikin has been using Coanda airflow for many years now.

3D Airflow

When you turn on the 3D airflow feature, the two horizontal and vertical wind vanes will work simultaneously. As a result, the wind will blow everywhere in the room without using a fan, saving more electricity.

More ways to use the remote: To activate the 3D airflow, you need to press two buttons simultaneously: vertical auto swing (up and down) and horizontal auto swing (left and right).

In addition, this FTKZ series-1 hp and 1.5 hp capacity are also equipped with a 2-zone smart eye with an infrared sensor that helps you easily adjust the airflow away or focus easily with maximum comfort.

Besides, the standard intelligent eye will detect the movement of people in the room. If there is no movement within 20 minutes, the machine will automatically increase the temperature to 2 degrees Celsius. When someone returns, it will return the heat to the old degree. This magic eye function will help you save power and avoid waste.

Cooling Standard

When you press the button, powerful, the machine will operate at maximum capacity within 20 minutes to quickly bring the room to the temperature you want. Then it will work in normal mode. The device does not need to blow a strong fan or operate powerfully to cool. The machine only needs to maintain a good cold and a fan. This feature helps us quickly reach the desired temperature, a comfortable temperature.

Connection Standard: App and Wifi are available

The FTKZ machine already has a wifi board; there is no need to add an adapter like previous generations. You can control the air conditioner on your smartphone via the internet with Daikin's D-Mobile application. That is, there is no limit on space anymore. Whenever there is a network, you can control it. The simplest example is that you can check and maintain the air conditioner in your children's room, for example... However, what is more, important is that your understanding of the device is better with the D-Mobile app on your smartphone. Using features like timers, calendars, etc., will be more effective and help you exploit the machine better.

The "weekly scheduler" function allows you to schedule a weekly schedule. For example, Monday-Friday, when you go to work, turn off the device at 6 am, prepare to go to work, turn on the computer at 7 pm, or before going home, set it up. Let the machine turn on first, then go home. The house is always excellent. For example, on Saturday and Sunday, turn on the device at noon and sleep at night. The rest will turn off.

The power consumption test

I tried the air conditioner for 22 hours, from 5 pm the previous day to 3 pm the next day. The machine has one horse, and the room is 12m2 floors, 3m high, open at 25 degrees Celsius, and fan level 1. I measured that the total amount of electricity that the machine consumes is 4.33 kwh. Calculating the average electricity price of three thousand VND/kWh, it costs about 13,000 VND for 22 hours. That way, you may not need to worry about electricity.

Noise level measurement

I use a noise meter to see how quiet the machine is in fan mode, 1 step, at 25 degrees Celsius. This is the level that I often use in my bedroom. The measured volume is about 35dB. Unfortunately, I could not find a quieter environment to measure because now the ambient volume when the air conditioner is turned off is already 35dB.

Daikin says the volume of their device is only about 19dB. 19 dB is a tranquil level, and sometimes you have to go into a professional soundproof room to measure it. In a typical environment in the city, it is always difficult for you to find a place with a sound pressure level lower than 19dB.

In terms of technology to reduce noise, we have a compressor and a fan design in the refrigerator. The quiet operation of the compressor will make the hot unit soft. On the other hand, the fan in the quiet unit will make the cold unit slow. In addition, you need to practice using it correctly. However, it will also bring smoothness. For example, you spend about 20 minutes in a freezing room and then turn on a small fan to reduce noise.

Design

This year, Daikin has changed the design of the cooler to look fresher than the coolers of previous years, as well as other units on the market. However, the heater is not what you see, so the change in the heater is mainly related to durability and noise level.

This year's indoor unit is redesigned with more curves, uniformity, and even more curves. The colors are also simple, and the color palettes are large. Curved corners make the machine look neater than straight corners. Nevertheless, the color feels elegant and modern. These are my preliminary comments.
