    What is Streamer Technology?

    On the air conditioner

Streamer technology is an advanced form of plasma discharge that produces high-speed streams of electrons. These electrons collide and combine with nitrogen and oxygen in the air to create strongly decomposed molecules.

"Streamer discharge" decomposes bacteria and mold on the filter in the form of an advanced plasma discharge. A highly efficient method of oxidative decomposition. Streamer discharge is one of the plasma discharge methods. With the same power source, the oxidative breakdown rate of streamer discharge is 1000 times faster than that of conventional plasma discharge (glow discharge), effectively killing mold, bacteria, and viruses and purifying the source of the air you breathe.

    Streamer discharge decomposition mechanism

Streamer discharge has a substantial impact on elements trapped in the filter. Because the decomposition process takes place entirely inside the machine instead of outside in the air in 3 steps, namely:

    • Step 1 (Discharge): Streamer discharge generates high-speed electrons.
    • Step 2 (Combination): High-speed electrons contact and combine with nitrogen and oxygen in the air. This compound produces molecules that break down at a high rate.
    • Step 3 (Decomposition): Degrading elements will break down the surface and then destroy the center of harmful proteins.

The outstanding advantages of streamer technology

Mold and viruses are effectively removed up to 99% of the time.

Daikin has conducted many studies and experiments on the effectiveness of streamer discharge on various harmful substances such as molds, viruses, allergens, and diesel exhaust gases and molecules.

The results obtained are awe-inspiring. Within 24 hours of discharge, the Streamer removes 99% of mold and can inactivate 99% of viruses within an hour.

It can eliminate viruses and bacteria by using streamer technology:

    • Staphylococcus aureus.
    • Escherichia coli (E.coli).
    • Klebsiella pneumoniae.
    • MRSA.
    • Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
    • Moraxella.

Keeping the heatsink clean when combined with the anti-mold function

The condensed water condensing through the cooling process removes dirt in the heat exchanger. After cleaning with condensate, the louver opens, and the machine will run in fan mode to blow the air out to dry the heat exchanger.

The fan function will work in tandem with Streamer technology and lasts up to 60 minutes. Thanks to this combination, the inside of the indoor unit, the radiator, and the air intake will be dry and, at the same time, neutralize harmful substances such as viruses, mold, and allergens.

    On the air purifier

"Streamer discharge" is a form of plasma discharge that produces high-velocity streams of electrons that can combine with oxygen and nitrogen in the air to form active compounds with solid oxidizing powers and thus remove harmful substances allergens such as mold, weevils (feces and dead mites), pollen, and toxic chemicals such as formaldehyde. Compared with standard plasma discharge (luminescence discharge), the rate of oxidative decomposition is 1000 times stronger with the same amount of electrical energy.

The decomposition power is compared to a temperature of approximately 100,000 °C.

    Streamer discharge decomposition mechanism

6-layer structure for complete decomposition and removal:

    1. High-speed electrons are produced, forming the process of decomposition and reduction.

    2. Dust is collected, and bacteria and allergens are eliminated.

    3. Dust and pollen are positively charged and sent to the filter (plasma ionization device).

    4. Dust and pollen are retained in the charged filter (front panel electrostatic precipitator).

    5. The photocatalyst membrane eliminates Odors and viruses (titanium apatite photocatalytic membrane).

    6. Decompose odors and formaldehyde (catalyst for photocatalysis and deodorization).

    Streamer's 3C notation

    - Clean: removes bacteria from the dust filter, humidifying filter, and humidifying water.

    - Clash: Decomposes harmful substances on the filter by oxidation. Toxic gaseous chemicals adhere to the surfaces of substances suspended in the air.

    - Cycle: The deodorizing filter absorbs and decomposes odors. The deodorizing power is maintained because the absorption capacity is regenerated.

Reduce bacteria in humidified water with a streamer

Streamer technology is a unique feature of Daikin's humidification method that can inhibit bacteria on the humidifier filter and the water used for humidification.

The humidifier water tank has been irradiated with streamers and a humidifying filter to reduce bacteria in the water.

By keeping the water and surrounding area clean, the air purifier will provide fresh air and cleanliness to the whole room.

Humidifier water tray for regular maintenance (1-week x 1 time).

    Humidifier Features:

    • The humidifier's water tray is coated with silver ions.
    • The water wheel system prevents the humidifier filter from directly immersed in water.

    Electrostatic HEPA filter

The filter effectively absorbs dust by electrostatic force. As a result, dust is more challenging to clog than other non-charged HEPA filters that collect dust based on the fineness of the filter mesh. So a more significant amount of air can pass through the filter. As a result, the filter can clean more air.

The filter itself is electrostatically charged, so it can effectively absorb dust.

It is not easy to clog due to low-pressure loss.

    It removes 99.97% of . 0.3µm dust particles. *

(*) This is the removal efficiency of the filter, not the removal efficiency of the whole room.
